Politics

Bipartisan senate group blocks meaningless NSA non-reform.
"Although the domestic phone data dragnet has not thwarted any terrorist attacks, in the lead up to the vote critics savaged the bill as a gift to terrorists. "
They get paid to say that. More.
"What could be more American these days than the U.S. Senate voting AGAINST something called the “USA Freedom Act”?"
Too funny.

Good for pastors who want to separate religious and civil marriage, but if this is a response to being forced to perform gay marriages, it will be slammed. It will also hurt churches as many will chose civil marriage instead of both.

The difference between petty thieves and great thieves.
"In his City of God, St. Augustine tells the story of a pirate captured by Alexander the Great. Alexander demands of him, “How dare you molest the seas?” The pirate replied, “How dare you molest the whole world? Because I do it with a small boat, I am called a thief. You, with a great fleet, molest the whole world and are called an emperor.” St. Augustine called this answer “elegant and excellent.” "
Don't forget the scale of killing.

Blacks suffer from a legacy of liberal policies.
