Local

This claim that one in five families can't buy enough food is ridiculous.
"In the Miami Valley, one-in-five families can't afford three meals a day and nearly one-in-four children deals with hunger. The Foodbank is the answer for many of those for whom hunger is a fact of life."
This is propaganda. As bad as things are, they aren't this bad. Yet.
"But the need is great as, according to Davenport, 125,700 people are considered to be "food insecure" in The Foodbank's service area that includes Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties."
This contradicts the prior claim. Here's the population numbers:
Montgomery County: 535,846
Greene County: 163,204
Preble County: 41,732
That's  740,782 total which works out to 0.169 or 1 in six people. I'm sure that's exaggerated too.
""We have the smallest service area of any of the food banks in the state but we have the sixth highest need," she said."
That says that our economy is terrible compared to the rest of the state.

Central plans haven't revitalized downtown Dayton for 50 years, and a new one won't now. Stealing more money from taxpayers won't either. This shuttle idea is stupid because it bypasses potential businesses.
"The plan proposes creating a free circulator, or shuttle service, to better connect the city’s assets, such as the University of Dayton, the Oregon Historic District, the Central Business District, Sinclair Community College and the Wright-Dunbar district."
This is pure cronyism. Rulers always try to boost their cronies at the expense of everybody else. The government is the problem, not the solution. More.
