Local

In another fishy Water Street development, the city borrowed $6 million from two state agencies to pay for more development.
"With the agreement, the expected parking garage has the financing to begin construction, the latest step for Water Street, which recently looks to have expanded with the sale of the former Delco building at 329 E. First St. to the developers, who say they want it to become a residential and commercial building."
The construction of the garage is almost complete. What's this guy talking about?
"As part of the $33.5 million Water Street development, the city is building the garage while the developers construct the 50,000-square-foot office building and attached residential units, said Jason Woodard of Woodard Real Estate Resources, which is developing Water Street alongside Columbus-based Crawford Hoying."
Why is the city building the garage? This project is bizarre.

Cops release the video of cop car being hit by another car whose driver ran a red light because the video benefits the cops. They didn't release the video of the cops assassinating the man in Beavercreek Walmart because it didn't benefit the cops. When they release stuff is driven purely by self-interest, never an interest in justice.

Boehner and McConnell bring home the pork.
"A public-private partnership between Cincinnati and Dayton applied earlier this year for the federal Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership program and won. The region was named a designee in May. With the new two-year status, local organizations in the 27-county area including Northern Kentucky and Springfield get preferential treatment when applying for government funding to support the aerospace manufacturing industry."
This is a race to the bottom.

Cincinnati to benefit from Boehner and McConnell power.
