Iran is also suffering hyper-inflation thanks to western economic sanctions. Iran abandoned the dollar in favor of the euro a few years ago. It barters for goods, paying in gold or oil. The US creates the conditions that require it to invade to save the reserve status of the dollar, then it invades.
