Tax and Spend

Court acknowledges IRS targeted conservative group, but dismisses case anyway.
"As USA Today reports, U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton said that “the IRS has assured the public that they’re no longer screening applications for tax exemptions based on its political leanings” and ruled that “Unless an actual, ongoing controversy exists in this case, this court is without power to decide it.”"
This is ridiculous. First, why would you take the IRS's word for it? It lied about it for years. Second, for every wrong there is a remedy. Naturally the judge protected his fellow crooks. Analysis.
"Judge Reggie Walton of the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia dismissed almost all counts brought against the tax-collecting agency in two cases, ruling that both were essentially moot now that the IRS granted the groups their tax-exempt status that had been held up for years.Walton, a President George W. Bush-appointee, also said individual IRS officials could not be fined in their individual capacity for allowing such treatment because it could hurt future tax enforcement."
That's how he gets paid.

Britain considers pulling out of EU over taxes.
