Local

Local military man killed in Afghanistan.

Paper compares grocery prices but fails to compare quality. This is the new philosophical normal promoted by the US government. All meat is equal. All vegetables are equal. All roads are equal. All medical care is equal.  It's a bunch of crap, but the DDN jumps right on board. The DDN should be embarrassed by this report, but I'm sure it's not.

Here's one of the more obvious headlines I've ever read:
"Cabbies say drunks drive up cost of free-ride program"
That's like saying tall people drive up the height of doorways. How stupid is that headline? It's a joke. The only thing serious about this article is that the government steals money from people and uses it to subsidize drunkenness. We should put an end to that. And because this system is based on coercion and funded by stolen money, it's rife with corruption.
"The Dayton Daily News analyzed cab company invoices sent to the county in 2012 and found many appear to charge the county more than twice the standard fare — in once case billing $15 to transport someone 1 mile."
Stop.
