The last time Republicans caved and raised taxes to avoid sequestration, they kicked the date of the spending cuts down the road until March. March is coming, and Obama has called for raising taxes again and getting rid of those spending cuts. Republicans have said no. Of course they said the same thing last time before they raised taxes. The question is:
Will Republicans cave and raise taxes again?
Sequestration pseudo-cuts have kicked in, and Republicans didn't raise taxes. But this is just jockeying for position ahead of the government shutdown scheduled to occur at the end of the month.
