FASCISM:

Explaining fascism as a covert form of socialism.
"Moreover, as Ludwig von Mises demonstrated,[2] the allegedly "right-wing" social order of Nazi Germany was just as socialistic as was Lenin's Russia. Through economic interventions the German government completely took over the economy. The only "market" left was a sham. Private individuals owned the means of production in name only. Real ownership of the means of production was in the hands of the state. This is what Mises called "socialism of the German or Hindenburg pattern." This variety of socialism is also known as Zwangswirtschaft, which is basically German for "compulsory economy." Those who were once entrepreneurs devolve in aZwangswirtschaft into mere shop managers (Betriebsfuhrer in Nazi legalese), following the orders of a central command."
"The only way in which "socialism of the Russian or Lenin pattern" (as Mises termed the more familiar variant of socialism) is distinct from the Zwangswirtschaft is in the nonessential fact that it has no such veneer of faux-private ownership. Its socialism is simply more overt."
Sounds all too familiar.
"Revolutionary socialist governments, like the Nazi and the Bolshevist states, will generally adopt one path or the other. But it is by no means necessarily an either/or choice. Gradual approaches toward socialism, like the one the United States is currently taking, often rely on both: overtly socializing an industry via nationalization here and covertly socializing an industry via market interventions there. And one type of socialization often leads to the other. Thus through this gradual, dual approach to socialization, one can imagine what one day might be called "socialism of the American pattern" arising, characterized by a hodgepodge of vast bureaus and sham markets."
That's exactly what has happened in America.

ECONOMY:

Here's an indicator of just how big our crash is going to be when the illusion of wealth collapses:
"Properly adjusted for inflation, the average wage is lower today than it was in 1973. That’s right, almost 40 years of going nowhere."
All the supposed growth in wealth we've seen is an illusion created by inflationary monetary policy and debt. Both of those are about to go away, then the curtain will fall. Have you noticed how a few decades ago, one salary could make a family middle class? Now it takes two. That's not an improvement.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

The Fed turned a tidy $82 billion profit last year. Counterfeiting is great work if you can get it.

POLICE STATE:

Police to deploy electronic fingerprint readers so they can fingerprint everybody they come into contact with. This is supposed to make us feel safe.

WAR:

US fighter jet crashes in Libya, but both pilots are safe, thank goodness. The case for this war as distraction continues to build:
"Moammar Gadhafi's forces shelled rebels regrouping outside a strategic eastern city on Tuesday and his snipers and tanks controlled the streets of the last opposition-held city in the west, signaling a prolonged battle ahead."
This was almost over. The casualties were almost stopped. And then the US and other western countries intervened to balance the scales and prolong the war and increase the casualties. Apparently the rescuers shot and wounded six villagers. Already we're adding to the casualties. This the first I've heard that the US employed B2 bombers. The case for Libya as a distraction grows:
"As in the case of Iraq, the assault on Libya was preceded by a huge barrage of anti-Gadaffi propaganda and steaming moral outrage by western media and politicians. American TV crews rushed to Libya to witness the wicked colonel get his comeuppance. None went to Bahrain or Yemen."
Or Saudi Arabia or Jordan.

Here's another indicator that our world has gone mad:
"Only in a mad political science fiction movie could a President engaged in perpetuating two unjust, immoral, interminable, and expensive wars begun by his predecessor, take his nation into yet another unjust, immoral, expensive, and, in all likelihood, interminable war … and expect a happy ending!"
It's like a nightmare that it's impossible to wake up from.

Here's a reminder that the UN was created to start wars.
"The U.N., that supposed instrument of international peace and security, has escalated a civil war into an international war. If the principle it has invoked in doing so stands, which is a supposed humanitarian one, then we face perpetual war, for there are and will be hundreds of civil conflicts within nation-states that are no different than the one in Libya."
This is what the ruling class wants.
