I always thought there must be a link between Jupiter's eleven year orbit and the sun's eleven year solar cycle. Maybe the Earth and Venus are also involved. This suggests the orbits of Earth, Venus and Jupiter, and the rest of the planets are determined by the current powering the sun.

Plasma balls being ejected by star could be planets being formed.
