Local

I predicted the new bike-share thing would be declared a success even though nobody would use. Having watched it a week or two, I've seen two riders only on one day out of hundreds of bikes every day. But since nobody can measure otherwise, this is reported as a success.
"The most popular trips so far: RiverScape MetroPark to Courthouse Square, Patterson Canal to Oregon District East, and Riverscape to Oregon District West."
Did any of those replace a car? Of course not.
"By Friday, a total of at least 1,500 trips had been taken. And that’s with the University of Dayton in summer session. Once students return, the expectation is that use of the bikes will increase sharply."
Compared to hundreds of thousands of bike hours? What a joke. Great success!
