War

Reports of unwanted sexual conduct in military drop, but reports of sexual assault up. Huh? What's the difference? But wait. It gets more confusing. From the first article:
"The number of troops reporting unwanted sexual contact dropped 27% to 19,000 in 2014 compared with 2012, according to Pentagon figures obtained by USA TODAY.
The statistics for overall reporting are based on an estimate of the total military population. They are called overall prevalence reports.
Meanwhile, the number of troops reporting sexual assaults jumped 63% over the same period to 4,608 from 2,828 in 2010."
How is 2012 to 2014 the same period as 2010 to 2014? And that's a big jump. But from the second article:
"Sexual assaults reported by U.S. military troops rose 8 percent in 2014 amid signs that victims are increasingly confident about reporting the attacks, defense officials said on Wednesday ahead of the formal release of the annual figures."
I guess the big jump was from 2012 to 2013, and now those people are getting beaten back down.

Supposed dove Rand Paul introduces war resolution against ISIS. I guess he doesn't want to be called a dove.

Former Reagan appointee explains the war racket in one sentence:
"The Department of Defense continually invents national security threats to protect its budget."
This is beautiful.
