Free kibbles

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

Good point about WikiLeaks:
"Now that everyone and his uncle is calling for the blood of Assange for his illegal distribution of cables, what is going to happen to the various newspapers that do exactly – exactly – the same thing, namely publishing those exact same cables?"
Can you say double-standard?

SOCIALISM:

Chicago closes Cabrini-Green.

Harry Reid proposes a bill to force municipal employees to unionize.

GM loses money on every Volt it makes. That means you and I pay the difference.

ECONOMY:

Pat Buchanan joins the chorus predicting the collapse of the EU.
""I think the government should default on the bonds," said writer Valerie Wilson. "We are suffering so the bondholders don't suffer. It's capitalism gone mad.""
Capitalism gone mad? What does government debt and fiat money have to do with capitalism? Wake up you idiots. This is government gone mad. Stop blaming capitalism.

TAX AND SPEND:

I know that politicians seem superbly dumb, and some of them are, but the ones who rise to the top didn't get there by being dumb. They got there by being smart and evil. For example, Republicans have taken the position that all Bush tax cuts must be extended. But Democrats aren't dumb, and they're in charge of Congress, therefore they're forcing a vote on extending just the middle class tax cuts. They plan to vote for it, and they want to put the Republicans on record for voting against it. This is the game of chicken I was talking about yesterday, and as evil as it is, they might win. Remember when Bill Clinton vetoed four, or was it five, I can't remember, balanced budgets, shutting down the government? Yet somehow he won politically by doing so and is credited with balancing the budget.

Our government intends to steal more money from us to give to European bankers.

My Senator Brown claims that tax cuts don't create jobs (he's right about that - entrepreneurs create jobs, not government) but unemployment benefits do. Right. Like the more you pay people not to work, the more they jump off the couch, throw away the benefits, and work their asses off. What an embarrassment.

REGULATION:

The SEC was lenient to Bank of America for securities violations because it was in financial trouble. Do you think they'd be lenient to you if you were in financial trouble? And you thought the law was supposed to be applied equally to everybody, or if you didn't, you thought it was supposed to be more lenient on the poor. Either way, you were wrong, and hopefully this will make clear the true nature of government. Did I mention that government is corrupt?

HEALTH CARE:

Obama stole $3.2 million from us and used to produce the Andy Griffith commercials promoting Obamacare.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Japan refuses to extend Kyoto treaty. That's a real, tangible sign the global fraud has collapsed at the political level.

How property rights can save the bluefish tuna and solve other environmental problems.

All of Britain covered in snow for the second year in a row, but much earlier this year. This is reminiscent of the Dalton Minimum, when the Thames froze solid because of low solar output.

Obama has decided to continue it's ban on Gulf drilling because Obama is pissed our economy hasn't collapsed yet.

POLITICS:

Citibank considering hiring former Obama budget director. Of course it is. Without Obama and company, Citibank would be bankrupt. Did I mention that politics is corruption?

MISC:

NASA discovers new life form on earth that shares no common building blocks with any other.
"It substitutes arsenic at the DNA level for phosphorus."
So it has DNA, but the DNA is based on a different alphabet.

Americans lead the world in philanthropy.
