Local

Bomb threats at four area schools today. The Cincinnati Fusion Center coordinated the response.

Threat at Hamilton High too.
"Multiple tweets were sent on Twitter regarding ongoing threats to the school, which resulted in the Hamilton school district placing all schools in the district on lockdown, according to Superintendent Tony Orr.
Orr said schools were placed on lockdown for part of the day on Wednesday and nearly 900 students were absent from the high school, which represented about 50 percent of the student population.
“We have been dealing with the growing problem of students making threats toward the school either verbally or online,” Orr said in a statement sent out to parents. “Please know that we take these threats seriously. Unfortunately, we dealt with another situation today at Hamilton High School after a student posted a threat on Facebook.”"
Nuts. More.

State stealing exotic animals.
"“We tried to comply with the law,” Ashley said. “My husband submitted the proper paperwork that they asked for, but they never let us know that it wasn’t completed correctly … By the time they did, it was after the deadline.”
Ashley said her husband issued new paperwork, but state officials wouldn’t accept it, saying it was too late to apply."
The old catch-22. Owner forced to fight to get his animals back. He'll probably lose.
