The US government stinks at recovering hostages too.

"Washington’s effort to recover American hostages held overseas is “dysfunctional” and mired in failures hidden by bureaucracy, an Army Special Forces officer once involved in the Pentagon’s part of the mission told the Senate on Thursday during a hearing for whistleblowers."

Just what you would expect from socialism.

Obama's plan to train Sunnis in Iraq sounds like a plan to get Americans killed so he can use that as an excuse to escalate the war.

"At the Pentagon, spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters the 450 additional U.S. forces would be fully up and running in six-to-eight weeks. The new U.S. troops will go to Taqaddum Air Base in Anbar, in the city of Habbaniyah -- between Ramadi and Fallujah, both under ISIS control. "

This sounds like a bad idea.

These troops are not just trainers like the previous thousands supposedly are.

"These troops would not be limited to the officially narrow training mission of the 3,100 U.S. troops already on the ground in Iraq. They would still be considered trainers and advisers, but their mission, according to the Times, would be “to help Iraqi forces retake the city of Ramadi and repel the Islamic State.”"

Escalation is right.

"On June 2, news broke that the Iraq military had managed to lose 2,300 armored Humvees, at least 40 M1A1 tanks, 74,000 machine guns, and 52 or more howitzers, mainly to the Islamic State. Weapons were abandoned by fleeing troops, captured on the battlefield, and in some cases likely sold to ISIS and other militias. In a Reuters article caustically titled “Dude, Where’s My Humvee?” Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi admitted blithely, “we lost a lot of weapons.”"

That's convenient for ISIS. How does it make sense for somebody fleeing ISIS to leave behind his Humvee or tank? We're being lied to.

In a related story, US planning more bases and more troops in Iraq, ostensibly to fight ISIS, which they'll build right after that attack they're setting up.
