Politics

That Gruber guy who blew the whistle on the lies behind Obamacare turns out to be an MIT professor, and his name has been turned into a verb describing how government lies to us.

The internet gambling ban is a gift to Israeli plutocrat, billionaire, and super-lobbyist Sheldon Adelson. This illustrates the nexus of all policy of politics. This ban would boost Adelson's wealth, giving him more money to give back to politicians in support for more war in the Middle East.

On US candidates:
"I have long quoted Susan Huck: national politics is a contest between Council on Foreign Relations Team A and Council on Foreign Relations Team B."
Sounds about right.
"What is the primary function of voting? To keep voters pacified. It’s cheap insurance for Washington.
The country is now saved. But it will be threatened again in two years. Mark my words!"
That's the function our rulers use it for, but we can vote to defend ourselves.
