Global Warming and Energy

Global warming enthusiasts welcome el Nino because it warms the planet. They say warming is bad, but they want it anyway because it makes them rich.

Atlantic hurricane season was so mild, the Pacific had more hurricanes.
"The year's unusual hurricane season comes to a close with activity in the Atlantic below normal, but storms in the Pacific at their highest level in years.
The Pacific hurricanes were also particularly ferocious — about 145% more intense than normal. Fourteen hurricanes and six tropical storms have formed in the region so far. It's the most intense eastern Pacific season since 2006, Colorado State University meteorologist Phil Klotzbach said."
But the Atlantic was even more unusually mild. Of course they don't want to talk about that.
"Such yin and yang of the quiet Atlantic and active Pacific is typical of the El NiƱo-like pattern we're in, Maue said. While the six-month season doesn't officially end until Nov. 30, it's likely most of the activity has already occurred."
It's not much of an el Nino.
