US fires general, 2nd in command of US nuclear missiles, in the middle of gambling investigation that resulting in the firing of the 2nd in command of all US nuclear forces two days ago. This is a good reminder that government is the world's biggest party, and it attracts the worse people in the world to work for it, and the worst of the worst rise to the top.

The US is losing patience in Afghanistan. Do you think the Afghan people might have lost patience long ago?

US has failed to destroy its chemical weapons, as has Russia.

"Syria has been given a year to eliminate its chemical weapons arsenal, or face the threat of a U.S. military strike. Yet it may come as a surprise that the United States has still not destroyed all of its massive supply of deadly nerve agents.

In fact, neither has Russia. Both Washington and Moscow signed the Chemical Weapons Convention of the 1990s, which forbid the use, production and stockpiling of chemical weapons.

And both countries missed the convention's extended deadline last year to destroy all of their chemical weapons."

Getting rid of chemical weapons is for the provinces, not imperial states.
