Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

Before government corrupted them, firefighters were heroes. But since government took them over, as this sick day calendar shows, they've become typical, corrupt bureaucrats.
"Clark County commissioners believe they have heard more evidence proving a firefighter conspiracy to rob taxpayers. Commissioners were surprised to hear of the existence of sick rosters given to firefighters as recently as 2009.A sick roster is a secret calendar between firefighters letting them know when somebody will collect overtime. The county's fire chief admits these sick rosters existed."
That's what the power of coercion does. Government corrupts everything it touches.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

Even the New York Times advocates decentralizing the internet so government can't track users or shut it down. Given all the abuse of the internet by tyrannical governments, people are beginning to see the value of protecting the internet from government. The more people who recognize this, the more legitimacy government will lose.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Charts show much closer correlation between US government debt as a percentage of GDP and global temperatures than between CO2 and global temperatures. The solution is simple then: dramatically cut government spending to save not only the country, but the planet.

POLICE STATE:

Cop rear-ends car. DA charges driver with assaulting a police officer. You can't make this stuff up.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Argentine government seizes US cargo plane and accuses US of smuggling, drugs, weapons and spy equipment into Argentina.
"The US said the supposed spy equipment is actually satellite phones for communication used by the Special Forces training team. They are carried into the field to ensure communication with commanding officers. While the phones were declared, the list did not indicate related computer equipment or codes that were required for the phones. Thus, all were seized by Argentine officials. In addition to other items seized, Argentine officials took possession of medical kits, because they failed to individual list the drugs included. The kit itself had been declared. Stretches, other medical equipment and military rations were also seized.
The events coincide with precarious times for US-Argentine relations, as US President Barack Obama is set to make a trip to South America, visiting Brazil and Chile, but skilling Argentina."
Sounds like political payback.

A State Department spokesman today refused to say Khaddafi was a dictator, but he did say he wasn't elected. As if that makes a difference. I'm enjoying this because it exposes our bankrupt ideas about government which undermines the legitimacy of our government. Dictators can be elected. The most powerful governments in the world are elected. Every four years American voters chose between one of two dictators. That doesn't make us free. Just the opposite. We shouldn't judge governments by how the dictator obtained power. We should judge them by how much they oppress their people.

The Egyptian protesters so far have only removed one man from office. That can hardly be called a revolution. Prediction that the Middle Eastern protests are a prelude to expanding war then a great war.

POLITICS:

Arguments for why the most corrupt people tend to rise to the top in our political system.

MEDIA:

Slamming Krugman for playing the race card.
