Global warming summit ends with agreement to plant trees.
"However, a declaration to save forests is truly an empty, painless piece of spin. Forests are already recovering worldwide, thanks to globalisation, cheap energy and economic development. In a mirror of our own economic history, large scale urbanisation of countries such as Brazil and Panama, driven by the creation of new jobs in the cities, is luring the younger generation to abandon subsistence farms hacked out of the jungle."
As I've said for decades, people should plant more trees. Nice of the frauds to catch up, but this plan is certainly more about taking credit for the reforestation the market is already providing than actually planting trees.
"Stepping back from the forest non issue, there is another aspect of the NY climate conference spin which I find disturbing – the continuous emphasis on the need for “widespread collaboration” and “unprecedented cooperation”. Every time I see a reference to how everyone has to allegedly strive to sacrifice their own interests, and work together for a common eco-goal, to save the world, I remember something the famous author Terry Pratchett once said;
“Pulling together is the aim of despotism and tyranny. Free men pull in all kinds of directions.”"
As if governments need to collaborate to plant trees. This is clearly one-world-government rhetoric, and that movement has always been behind the global warming fraud.

Protest in Cincinnati for lack of justice in Beavercreek Walmart shooting.

More excuses, active shooter events and training, for murder of John Crawford in Beavercreek Walmart.

911 caller admits he at least exaggerated.
"“He’s, like, pointing it at people,” Ritchie told the dispatcher. Later that evening, after John Crawford III had been shot dead by one of the police officers who hurried to the scene in Beavercreek, Ritchie repeated to reporters: “He was pointing at people. Children walking by.”
One month later, Ritchie puts it differently. “At no point did he shoulder the rifle and point it at somebody,” the 24-year-old said, in an interview with the Guardian. He maintained that Crawford was “waving it around”, which attorneys for Crawford’s family deny."
I wonder what this guy's real motivation was.
"Ritchie told several reporters after the 5 August shooting that he was an “ex-marine”. When confronted with his seven-week service record, however, he confirmed that he had been quickly thrown out of the US marine corps in 2008 after being declared a “fraudulent enlistment”, over what he maintains was simply a mixup over his paperwork."
Oops.
"The Crawfords’ attorneys told the Guardian that they had learned the preliminary findings of an autopsy were that he was shot in the back of his left arm and in his left side, supporting their claim that he was turned away from the police officer who shot him."
Murder.
"The attorneys said that they would also be lodging a complaint with DeWine after Ritchie told the Guardian that he, too, was shown the surveillance footage by officials in the attorney general’s bureau of criminal investigation, who are investigating the shooting.
“That is very improper,” said attorney Michael Wright, who said that Ritchie’s statement on what happened should have been based only on what he remembered seeing."
That might be improper for an investigation, but it's proper for a cover-up which is what DeWine was orchestrating.
"Ritchie said that it was his own heart condition that saw him discharged from the US marines after joining in September 2008. He insisted that he had disclosed the condition when signing up. However, he claimed, “my recruiter never turned that paperwork in, so they considered me a fraudulent enlistment” when officers later discovered the condition. "
That sounds plausible.

War

Airstrikes destroy Syria's largest gas plant, grain silo and civilians.

US makes up a scarier terrorist organization.
"In short: lying works, and so administration officials simply invented a new enemy, one more fearsome – and, simultaneously, more familiar – to Americans than ISIS. They dubbed it "Khorasan," which, as far as anyone knows, is a former province of Iran, now divided into three separate provinces also named Khorasan. We are told their ostensible leader – whom we have just now supposedly killed in air strikes – was once head of "Al Qaeda in Iran," a shadowy group that has never pulled off a single action or engaged in any propagandistic activities, and for all we know never really existed at all. Those evil Iranian mullahs, the "experts" aver, have been sheltering a radical Sunni terrorist group – one that considers them heretics deserving of death – for their own malign purposes. No convincing evidence of this unlikely alliance is ever offered, however, and it seems about as credible as the Al Qaeda-Saddam Hussein connection Bush and his crew broadcast far and wide.
What’s so fearsome about "Khorasan"? Well, they couldn’t care less about establishing a Caliphate, because, you know, that’s so 632, and as for overthrowing Assad, the Khorasanians won’t stoop to conquer. No, nothing less than an attack on America, preferably using an airliner as a weapon of choice, will do. What they lack in originality they more than make up for when it comes to the all-important Imminence Factor. We are told the Khorasan Group – sounds like an investment bank, doesn’t it? – is planning an attack on an unnamed Western target and that they have assembled a cadre of Western fighters who could just hop on a plane and ignite themselves in midair.
And, oh yes, they have special clothing that ignites spontaneously and other tricks of the terrorism trade which no one has ever seen or heard of before.
No one had ever heard of a group named "Khorasan" before: it simply appeared spontaneously, like Minerva from the head of Zeus – or from the head of some war propagandist somewhere in the bowels of the Pentagon. We are told the very name of this mysterious group was "classified," at least according to the dubious Rep. Peter King (R-IRA), but as Glenn Greenwald points out here a great number of anonymous government officials were glad to drop this hot stuff into the eager hands of those court stenographers otherwise known as "mainstream journalists," who dutifully "reported" it as the gospel truth."
It works.
"Such descriptions of its history and character as we do have – the hurried and often contradictory explanations of anonymous US officials – all point to "Khorasan" as being a simple re-branding of an old enemy: Al Qaeda.
"Khorasan" is a marketing ploy, and the target is the American people. We’re used to hearing that the Al Qaeda bogeyman is under the bed, which is why we supposedly have to give the government carte blanche to spy on us and, while they’re at it, the whole world. This is the great problem Washington faces: it just isn’t having the same effect anymore. So a new brand name for terror had to be conjured, with new imagery – beheadings instead of falling buildings – to overwhelm our reason and let us forget the history of the past decade or so."
Obama claims to have defeated al Qaeda, so he couldn't have al Qaeda pop up as a threat again.

Obama claims US underestimated ISIS.
"As the fight against Islamic State extremists in the Middle East accelerates, US officials acknowledge that they both underestimated the strength and fierceness of the enemy and overestimated the ability of Iraqi forces to counter the group also known as ISIS or ISIL."
I don't believe it. Obama used ISIS to attack Assad and oust Maliki. ISIS is exactly what the US created it to be.

ISIS war has already cost $1 billion.
"The air war in Syria and Iraq has already cost nearly $1 billion and ultimately could cost as much as $22 billion per year if a large ground force is deployed to the region, according to an analysis by the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments."
Great.

Bombing campaign against ISIS is futile if you want to defeat them, but Obama doesn't want to destroy ISIS. He wants to destroy Syria.

The real reasons the US is bombing Syria.
"Phase two of the war against Syria is the introduction of 5,000 “moderate” mercenaries (as opposed to immoderate ones), who were trained in Saudi Arabia, the hotbed of Wahhabism, at an initial installment cost of $15 billion. These new “moderates” will replace the old “moderates,” who became ISIS, just in time for Halloween."
Obama will pretend to be surprised.
"To sell its case, the administration is borrowing from the fear mongering tactics of the Bush administration. ISIS poses no direct, immediate threat to the United States –The White House even said so yesterday, just hours before bombing commenced — yet we are being sold make-believe about ISIS sleeper cells."
That admission must have been an accident.

Company files suit after learning NASA favors plutocrats over them.

The company claims the government is spending $900 million more than it needs to for equivalent fulfillment, and they're demanding a review. They add, Importantly, the official NASA solicitation for the CCtCap contract prioritized price as the primary evaluation criteria for the proposals, setting it equal to the combined value of the other two primary evaluation criteria: mission suitability and past performance. SNC’s Dream Chaser proposal was the second lowest priced proposal in the CCtCap competition. SNC’s proposal also achieved mission suitability scores comparable to the other two proposals. In fact, out of a possible 1,000 total points, the highest ranked and lowest ranked offerors were separated by a minor amount of total points and other factors were equally comparable."

"These phones come with all kinds of restrictions on their possible physical capabilities. You may not take them apart. Depending on the plan, not all software can be downloaded onto them, not every device can be tethered to them, and not every cell phone network can be tapped. "Owning" a phone is much more complex than owning a plunger. And if the big tech players building the wearable future, the Internet of things, self-driving cars, and anything else that links physical stuff to the network get their way, our relationship to ownership is about to undergo a wild transformation. They also suggest that planned obsolescence will become much more common. For example, take watches: a quality dumbwatch can last decades, but a smartwatch will be obsolete in a few years."

"The standard for legal-ish cosmopolitan respectability in the U.S. now has become getting five kings and dictators to say their on your side as you start bombing a new country."

More on Obama's war in Syria.
"Consider Turkey. With its 400,000-man army, 1,000 planes, 3,600 tanks, 3,000 artillery pieces and self-propelled guns, the Turks, the largest military power in the Middle East, could make hash of the Islamic State.
Why have they not done so?"
Because they, like the US, want Assad ousted, so they are allied with ISIS.
"Because Turkish President Erdogan detests President Assad of Syria and has looked the other way as volunteers, including Turks, have crossed his border into Syria to join ISIS.
Up until now, this NATO ally has been a silent partner of ISIS. And, even now, Ankara has not volunteered to fight the Islamic State.
For Turkey is predominantly Sunni, and many Sunni see the Islamic State as a ruthless but effective ally against a Shia threat represented by Tehran, Baghdad, Damascus and Hezbollah."
He's downplaying how much Turkey has intentionally aided ISIS.
"Yet, for three years, it has been NATO ally Turkey and Arab allies like Saudi Arabia and Qatar who have been clandestinely aiding this “network of death.” And it has been Assad, Hezbollah, Iran and Russia that have been resisting this “network of death.”"
He finally admits they're aiding ISIS.

Another take on the war.
"The real problem is that the White House’s strategy looks like it’s being run by two angry women, Susan Rice and UN ambassador Samantha Power. Neither they nor President Barack Obama seems to have any grasp of military or geopolitical strategy. It’s amateur hour driven by a frenzy of alarmist hysteria from politicians and the media.
Iran’s president put it perfectly when he called America’s new Syria-Iraq a “blunder,” adding “certain intelligence agencies have put blades in the hands of madmen, who now spare no one.”"

"Attorney General Eric Holder's abrupt announcement that he intends to leave the Obama administration as soon as the president is able to find someone to take over for him was initiated by his doctor wife's concerns about his health, a news report revealed on Thursday.
Holder was rushed in an ambulance to a Washington, D.C. hospital in February after feeling faint and having a shortness of breath.
Doctors gave the Justice Department official the OK to return to work, but soon after the incident, rumors began swirling that Holder could leave the Obama administration before the end of the year."

Ambassador Stevens's last meeting in Benghazi before being killed was with Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin because Stevens and the CIA were smuggling weapons from Libya to Syrian rebels like ISIS through Turkey.

Dozens of CIA operatives were in Benghazi the night of the attack.

Back in December 2012, Business Insider reported Obama was openly smuggling heavy weapons from Libya into Syria.
"The heavy arms include mortars, rocket propelled grenades, anti-tank missiles and the controversial anti-aircraft heat-seeking SA-7 missiles, which are integral to countering Bashar Al-Assad's bombing campaign."
This baloney about how the US should have armed the Syrian rebels is ridiculous.
"The administration has said that the previously hidden CIA operation in Benghazi involved finding, repurchasing and destroying heavy weaponry looted from Libyan government arsenals, but in October we reported evidence indicating that U.S. agents — particularly murdered ambassador Chris Stevens — were at least aware of heavy weapons moving from Libya to jihadist Syrian rebels.
There have been several possible SA-7 spottings in Syria dating as far back as early summer 2012, and there are indications that at least some of Gaddafi's 20,000 portable heat-seeking missiles were shipped before now.
On Sept. 6 a Libyan ship carrying 400 tons of weapons for Syrian rebels docked in southern Turkey. The ship's captain was "a Libyan from Benghazi" who worked for the new Libyan government. The man who organized that shipment, Tripoli Military Council head Abdelhakim Belhadj, worked directly with Stevens during the Libyan revolution."
It's amazing how this story has been buried.

The Board of Education on Monday approved the first of two resolutions to place the renewal on the ballot. If passed, it would continue to generate nearly $4.07 million a year to continue current operations and would not cost taxpayers one extra cent.
But if voters reject the renewal, the owner of a $100,000 home could wind up paying an additional $88.14 a year because of a change in state law that would eliminate a 12.5 percent tax roll back and owner-occupied homestead credits on levies passed before August 2013. Levies that were in existence prior to August 2013 maintain those exemptions for taxpayers so long as they are renewed or converted, said Jana Bellamy, the district’s treasurer."

Police State

Police chief tells the truth when he thinks only rulers are listening.
"“We have historically been a paramilitary organization,” observed Indianapolis Police Chief Rick Hite during a September 17 City Council meeting. “And we serve whoever sits in that chair, regardless of race, gender, creed, or political party. I don’t know what we would do if we had to go to battle, and we had to make a determination, based on past practices, whether or not we wanted to go into battle. … I am a soldier in an army. We serve you in that way…. We should not be in a position where we’re going to have to decide how we’re going to police this city.”"
They don't serve us.

One way to catch whistleblowers is to convince them to upload their files to a service and identify themselves. I like that people are thinking like this.

New iPhone and Android encryption scare police agencies. They'll make this illegal in no time. This is still a good economic move for Apple and Google because it puts the onus on government to make it illegal, then the companies don't get blamed.

European serfs are showing their unhappiness.
"French president Francois Hollande, whose abysmal popularity ratings are now lower than Robespierre’s, butcher of the French Revolution, was elated by his show of machismo even if French voters were not. What the French were really doing, of course, was show-casing their new Rafale fighter."
Makes sense.
"France, backed by the Obama administration, managed to drag a few other reluctant European nations into the attack on Libya.  French and British special forces led the anti-Khadaffi uprising. Khadaffi’s convoy was bombed by French warplanes (probably Rafales); the Libyan leader was then captured by a mob led by French intelligence agents and murdered."
New information.
"If NATO and Europe thought it was getting a bonanza of Libyan high grade oil, it was very wrong. What it got was chaos in Libya, jihadist uprisings in Mali and Nigeria, and waves of boatpeople heading for Italy."
Oops.
"NATO, says top American strategist Zbig Brzezinski, is the key to American domination of Europe. Washington pays 75% of NATO’s bills. NATO has allowed Europe to skimp on military spending. No wonder Europe is reluctant to get into  new Mideast war."
Welfare.

Afghans have already learned about the corruption inherent in democracy.
"But what about the millions of Afghans who, in some cases, risked their lives to vote? They've lost faith in the process. It went on too long and, to many, came to be more about making peace between Ghani and Abdullah than honoring people's choices.
"People performed their responsibility on Election Day," said Ajmal Waisal, of Tirinkot in Oruzgan province last month. "They took risks... But no one respects the people's votes.""
That didn't take long.

The claims of the ozone hole was a fraud, and the claim it is recovering is a fraud.

Economy

Of course the stock market is hard to predict. If it was easy, everybody would make money. But this begs the question of what drives investors in the current environment. There's no gain to be had in the real economy, so investors look to stocks, and they look to stocks because the Fed keeps printing money. If I'm right, keeping investing in stocks while the Fed keeps printing money. When it stops, get out fast so you don't have to jump out of a window.

Federal Reserve

The consequences of keeping interest rates artificially low for an extended period.
"But old habits die hard, and economists still expect that rates can and will go back to normal. They assume that since the economy is now apparently on solid footing, the period of ample accommodation is over. In reality, we have built an economy that is now so leveraged that it needs zero percent interest rates just to tread water."
But neither of those views of the economy is correct. Our economy is bifurcating. The rich economy bubble keeps expanding but the middle class and poor economy is contracting. The aggregate may look stagnant, but it's not.

Police State

TSA's role in the Phoenix airport lockdown.
"The Transportation Security Administration is an absolutely impotent failure as an organization. A single shooter runs into the airport, and the police lock it down. The TSA mill around behind the tensa-barriers. They do not assist the police in the search for this Security threat to the Transportation system. They do not implement any sort of organized plan for evacuating the terminal in an orderly fashion. They do not work with ground control to divert planes with passengers at Terminal 4 to the other terminals for deplaning until nearly 2 hours of lockdown. They have no information to share-when asked directly one agent told me “They (the police) haven’t told us anything.” They know nothing. They do nothing. Worse, they give the illusion of security without providing it."
That they did nothing is probably for the best.

Federal Reserve

The IMF claims to have just realized printing money encourages risk.
"Recently the Fed released research stating that it encouraged moral hazard and risk taking with its QE programs. Never one to fall behind, now the International Monetary Fund is in on the trick.
After promoting QE for years (see here and here), the IMF is finally coming to realize what has been apparent for years now to almost everyone who doesn’t work for the Fed or the IMF : that low interest rates encourage risky decisions."
Something called the Financial Stability Board (FSB) said the same thing. The Bank of International Settlements (BIS) said the same thing. This is a pattern. That means they're preparing us for something.

Yellen claims QE will end in October.
"In a statement released following its two-day meeting, the U.S. central bank left largely intact key provisions, despite expectations in some quarters that it would indicate a tightening bias. It also cut its bond-buying program down to $15 billion a month and indicated quantitative easing will end in October. "
Maybe those other guys are laying down cover for Yellen. Of course when QE stops, that doesn't mean the Fed will stop printing money or let interest rates rise.
"The Fed's Open Market Committee did not remove language that said interest rates would rise "a considerable time" after the monthly bond-buying program ended. Market fears centered over whether excising the language could have sent a signal that a rate hike would come as soon as six months later. "
When rates rise, watch out.

Apple says it is making it impossible for it to read data on most iPhones. Why only most? A technical solution should be universal unless a user keeps a default passcode. More.
"In the new mobile operating system, all you have to do is add a passcode (which you should already have anyway!) to opt in to encryption that denies Apple special access to your data. Apple announced on Wednesday night that even if it gets a warrant from law enforcement for your data, it will be unable to comply if you have this encryption enabled."
That sounds good. I bet we find out there's a backdoor later. Government will pass a law requiring a backdoor.

Androids will do the same.

Contrary to claims made by NSA, analysis shows Snowden's revelations didn't aid terrorists.
"The report itself goes on to make the point that, “Well prior to Edward Snowden, online jihadists were already aware that law enforcement and intelligence agencies were attempting to monitor them.” This point would seem obvious in light of the fact that terrorist groups have been employing tactics to evade digital surveillance for years. Indeed, such concerns about their use of sophisticated encryption technology predate even 9/11. Contrary to claims that such groups have fundamentally altered their practices due to information gleaned from these revelations, the report concludes. “The underlying public encryption methods employed by online jihadists do not appear to have significantly changed since the emergence of Edward Snowden.”"
Don't expect the refutation to be reported far and wide like the accusation.
