ECONOMY:

The volatility of the stock market is an indication we're in uncharted economic territory.

Don't believe what the establishment tells you about what moves the market. How specialists control the stock market.

The establishment wants us to believe that Pat Toomey, who John Boehner appointed to the deficit commission, is a tea partier when in fact he's just another establishment Republican. None of the deficit commission members are from the tea party. The whole point of the deficit commission was to reduce the power of the tea party and increase the power of the establishment.
"The Democratic and Republican leaders in the House and Senate each appear to have had a common goal in choosing members for the new Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction: They picked top lieutenants and allies, lawmakers they can trust not to go their own way and to cut a deal only with the leaders' blessing — or, more likely, their fingerprints.
"I don't really see you'll be getting anybody going rogue in this group," said David Walker, the former U.S. comptroller general who now heads the Comeback America Initiative, a budget watchdog group.
There are no members on the panel who championed the various deficit reduction efforts that took place outside of the leadership's auspices — no senators from the Gang of Six, for example. None stand out as political mavericks.
The resulting committee is less a band of brothers willing to strike a deal on deficit reduction and more an extension of the leadership foursome who will decide whether there is a deal to be struck."
Of course. Who would expect anything different?

TAX AND SPEND:

Budget deficit tops $1 trillion for the third straight year. One of the important things to remember is that first trillion dollar deficit belonged to Bush.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

POLICE STATE:

It used to be that liberals always claimed to look for root causes of violence. Now conservatives are pointing to welfare as the cause of the London riots. Another blames the bankers.

POLITICS:

I predict that this election, campaign ads will turn off more voters than they turn on. There's a natural limit to the power spending on campaigns, and that limit is when ads go from working in the candidates' favor to working against them.

ECONOMY:

Stocks are down over 400 again this morning. Let's see if the government can manipulate the market to bring it back up like Bernanke did yesterday.

I like this headline:
"European concerns drive stock market lower"
European concerns. Of course. Everything's great in the US. At 3:30, my market indicators says the market is down 400. The Dow closed down over 500. But there's nothing to see here. It's all about Europe. Move along.

Montage of Obama administration officials talking about pivoting to jobs. We've heard it many times before, and it always means more damage to our economy. When Obama talks about jobs, he's talking about destroying private sector jobs to create fewer political economy jobs.

The establishment wants us to think that Mitch McConnell picked a couple of government newcomers since he picked two Senate freshmen, but both are long-time establishment politicians. This is another illusion.

Government initiates, carries out and promotes violence.

More hidden costs of Obamacare.

The empire strikes back with a study claiming meat causes diabetes. That's why all our ancestors had diabetes and died young, causing humans to go extinct. Oh wait... Granted, they didn't eat processed meat, but this study indicts all meat. When studies come to a conclusion that is so obviously at odds with reality, you know they're corrupt.

Another study claims brown bag school lunches are unsafe. Clearly this is intended to provide support for government to ban them and force all kids to eat the government supplied slop.

GLOBAL WARMING:

President Obama has commandeered the services of the only woman director to ever win an Oscar (for crappy, warmongering movie that should have lost to Avatar) to direct a movie about the SEAL team that allegedly assassinated Osama bin Laden. The movie is scheduled to be released a month before the 2012 election. Obama has promised her the Pentagon will give her access to all the top secret data dealing with the assassination. As cynical as people call me, I can't help but be surprised. Has there ever been a more outrageous sell-out in moviedom? Has Obama assassinated the supposed anti-war left? Why would this woman be Obama's tool? I can see if he had named a director who was trying to reach the top sucking his ..... But an academy award winner? THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS:

It's nice to see somebody reminding people that Mitt Romney is anti-gun. I especially like how they say it:
"As Governor of Massachusetts, Romney gloated about signing a permanent “assault weapons” ban far worse than the ban pushed by Bill Clinton and Janet Reno.“[Semi-automatic firearms] are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people,” declared Romney in a press release touting his signature of the Massachusetts “assault weapons” ban in 2004.Mitt Romney views gun owners just like Obama does."
Mitt Romney is the Republican version of Barack Obama.

If British citizens had the right to keep and bear arms, the London riots would never have happened.

ECONOMY:

Pundit blames Ron Paul for the stock market crash and any future economic crash. I'm not joking. Actions don't matter. Debt doesn't matter. Stealing doesn't matter. Just the words of Ron Paul. This is like an anti-messiah version of this bizarre religious manipulation crap.

Boortz tees off on the supposedly inept and incompetent President Obama. I disagree. I think he's done a fine job at achieving his goal of collapsing the US economy under the burden of government. I'm gong to call him President Cloward & Piven from now on. This is important to realize: Obama can only get away with this in government. Imagine if he was the CEO of a company, and he tried to take down the company. What would happen? He'd be ousted very quickly. Government not only allows this kind of evil to flourish, it encourages it.

At 3pm the Dow was even. At close, it was up over 400. What the hell? The Fed's decision to keep interest rates low isn't new. Bernanke says he plans to keep rates near zero for an extended period every time he speaks. I bet the collapse resumes tomorrow.

How to move precious metals between countries.

TAX AND SPEND:

As expected, the Senate will hold hearings investigating S&P's downgrade of government bonds. That didn't take long.

It looks like USA Today polled a bunch of government-loving Americans so they could report that six out of ten wanted a compromise, i.e. tax hikes. I don't believe it.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

This tie between the Fed and the market exposes that the market is artificially inflated by the Fed.
"US stocks rose at the open today in a rebound from the previous session's nosedive. However, an upcoming Federal Reserve statement could spark a reversal if investors are not convinced it has a plan to combat a market meltdown."
For people in the market, of course they want the Fed to artificially inflate it at the expense of the rest of the country, but that's just stealing money and transferring it to stock holders, and we know who profits most from that.

EDUCATION:

This article exposes one way pollsters manipulate the people polled: by failing to explain the costs of policies. In this example 65 percent of those polls supported more money for education when no tax information was provided, but when when they learned their taxes would have to be raised, the number dropped to 35 percent.

HEALTH CARE:

The food safety crooks, I mean police, are indoctrinating children via a lego competition. This smacks of fascism.

Parallels between the riots in Britain and those in the Middle East. It's fine when rioters are bringing down oppressive foreign governments, but not when they're attacking the domestic oppressive government. This is why governments have been steadily seizing control of the internet. I like the reference to Hoppe and decivilizing effect of the welfare state, which is a natural result of democracy.

We finally get some details on the murder that sparked these riots. Police murdered a man named Mark Duggan, then claimed he fired at them first. An investigation has exposed that lie. This was just a typical murder of a civilian and cover-up by police offers, the same that happens every day in America, that the police always get away with it. I understand why the people who are afraid the police will murder them next are fed up with it. When the people who are supposed to uphold law are routinely murderers, civilization breaks down.

Do you feel safer?
"You may have heard in the news recently about how a college student unintentionally closed down a TSA checkpoint with his science project."
The student didn't shut down the airport. TSA shut down the airport. And they did it intentionally. Let's put the blame where it belongs. Note that when he shipped the device, nobody shut down the airport thinking it might be a bomb.

POLITICS:

People are wondering if Obama will be re-elected. I'm wondering if he'll do better than lose by a historic margin.

Only 17 percent of likely voters think the government has the consent of the governed.
"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters think the federal government today has the consent of the governed. Sixty-nine percent (69%) believe the government does not have that consent. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)The number of voters who feel the government has the consent of the governed – a foundational principle, contained in the Declaration of Independence – is down from 23% in early May and has fallen to its lowest level measured yet.Perhaps it's no surprise voters feel this way since only eight percent (8%) believe the average member of Congress listens to his or her constituents more than to their party leaders. That, too, is the lowest level measured to date. Eighty-four percent (84%) think the average congressman listens to party leaders more than the voters they represent."

Benedict Boehner and the Tea Party Tools

Benedict Boehner and the Tea Party Tools
by Mark Luedtke

In my article on the top ten news stories of 2010, I wrote, “The fight for the heart and soul of the tea parties continues as the Republican establishment works to co-opt them.” This debt ceiling scam proves the outcome was never in doubt. Establishment propagandists from both factions of the ruling class claim the debt ceiling compromise was a victory for the tea party. They think we’re too dumb to see through the charade. Here are some of the lies they use to make their case.

Lie #1: The agreement cuts $900 billion in spending over ten years. Fact: Spending was not cut. Government spending will increase every year of those ten years. The plan claims to slow the rate of increase of spending by such a tiny amount that you can hardly see the difference on a graph. And this microscopic slow-down is not binding on future Congresses. This pseudo-cut will never happen.

Lie #2: There are no tax increases in the deal. Fact: There is no free lunch. All money spent by government must ultimately be paid for by taxes. This bill increased the debt limit by $2.4 trillion which means spending will increase the same. That means government has to steal an additional $2.4 trillion in taxes plus interest to pay for it.

Lie #3: This deal will have to be paid for by our children and grandchildren. Fact: We will pay for it in addition to future generations paying for it. Because the Fed will monetize most of this debt, the value of the dollar will fall, so we'll pay for it with higher prices. If private investors buy government debt, that wealth can't be invested in the private economy, so we’ll pay for it with a weaker economy. Because this bill steals $2.4 trillion of wealth - steel, rubber, equipment, computers, fabric, etc. - out of the productive, private sector economy and squanders it in the parasitic political economy, our economy will be further depressed, making us all poorer. That’s why the Dow collapsed after this deal was announced.

Additionally, the deal creates a super-congress of six Democrats and six Republicans to identify another $1.5 trillion in either pseudo-cuts that will never happen or higher taxes which will. Senior establishment fat-cats will decide how to steal our money without any pesky tea party representatives resisting leviathan government. The deal also empowers the president to raise the debt ceiling unilaterally next time unless a two-thirds vote of Congress overrides him.

You would think, given the antipathy directed at the tea party caucus, they must have voted against this deal en mass, right? Wrong. Only ten Republican freshmen voted against this bill. Frauds Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan voted for it. The tea party frauds are on the gravy train. Do you tea party voters feel like winners?

Talk radio hosts claim that Democrats hoodwinked Republicans again. Like John Boehner is a fool. Sorry, no. House Republicans had the power to stop runaway government spending cold and balance the budget, but they didn’t want to. Boehner agreed to this deal in early July. Obama made his silly demands about taxing private jets and oil companies to pander to his base and provide cover for his Republican partners. This allowed Republicans to say they held the line against taxes. At Obama’s request, Republicans raised the limit high enough to last past the 2012 elections. The phony animosity was political theater. Both parties are partners in a con game of divide, conquer and loot. As usual, they won, and we lost.

I have some questions for conservatives. How many times are you going to vote for Republicans only to have them stab you in the back before you admit they’re evil partners with Democrats? When are you going to recognize that the only reason government exists is to steal our money and enrich the ruling class? You fall for these crooks every election, they stab you in the back, then you vote for them the next election anyway. If you continue enabling them, they’ll steal ever more of our money with their Democrat partners.

All presidents build on the evil of their predecessor. The next Republican will be worse than Obama. Republicans will increase, not cut, spending. They will modify Obamacare to their advantage, not repeal it. They will betray you again, the same as always. Predicting this politics stuff is easy once you realize that the function of government is to loot the people and all politicians are partners in crime.

Please don’t think that Republicans who voted against this bill are good Republicans. The fix was in. The establishment didn’t need the votes of every Republican, so they allowed those in the certain districts to vote no. This is another part of the charade. Votes were calculated to advance the political interests of the establishment. If they had needed those votes to steal our money, those Republicans, like Mike Turner, would have towed the line.

Republicans just gave President Obama a $2.4 trillion birthday present. Is that what you voted for?

ECONOMY:

The Dow continues to collapse in the wake of this debt ceiling fiasco. It closed down over 600 points. Investors realize that printing money to buy skyrocketing government debt is no substitute for economic growth. The house of cards is collapsing. I'm not saying it won't come back. It will. Our rulers will figure out some manipulation, be it money printing, seizing companies or something else, to temporarily prop the Dow back up, but everything it does will make the real economy worse until it can no longer prop up the facade of wealth. When it falls, we'll see we are destitute because the ruling class has stolen all of our wealth.

Why unemployment persists: government continues to distort the capital structure from the demand structure.

The press admits it has been lying to us about economic recovery.

Great chart shows that the stock market is in a bubble and has been since the 1990s if not before to a lesser extent. The people have tried to correct it several times, but the Fed prints money to re-inflate it every time. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on which side you're on, that tactic is quickly running out of steam. The people will correct it. Maybe not in the next few months, but soon.

TAX AND SPEND:

Fraud Paul Ryan promotes raising taxes.
"House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) said he is open to revenue increases as part of a deal to reduce the deficit today, seemingly shifting positions from the hardline opposition his party has maintained against revenue growth."
This was always the plan of Republicans behind closed doors. The no taxes thing is a charade. Every spending increase is a tax increase.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Here we have a global warming true believer calling Al Gore a prophet, manipulating people with religion again. Do you remember when people were scared of Reagan because he was religious? Reagan never talked about religion. He rarely went to church. As bad as politics and government always were, we've really debased them fast in the last few decades.

WAR:

Transcript of interview contradicting the official story of Osama bin Laden's assassination. I don't believe this any more than I believe the government's account. FOREIGN POLICY:

POLITICS:

Talking heads keep saying that Washington is dysfunctional. This is true, but not in the way they mean. Washington is dysfunctional because both parties have been working together for decades to steal our money while putting on theater pretending to appear divided. The only divide that exists is the divide between the people and our rulers, and that divide is getting worse every day as more and more people see through the charade. The facade is crumbling, and they don't know how to deal with it.

Republicans are going to rule after another wave election. Once in power, they'll act just like Democrats and conservatives will apologize when they grow government just like they always do. Pfft.

TAX AND SPEND:

The ruling class has the blame the tea party machine in high gear. Blame the debt downgrade on the people (tepidly) resisting more debt.

Boehner accidentally tells the truth: he never wanted spending cuts and the whole debt ceiling debate was a orchestrated political theater. He verifies several points I made in my upcoming essay.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Greenspan says the US will never default on its debt because the Fed will print the money. In other words, the government won't stop spending and going deeper into debt because they know the Fed will pay for it. They'll just wipe us all out with hyper-inflation. For 20 years I heard talking heads say that government was inflationary, and I never understood it. It made no sense because I could see no reason why government debt by itself was inflationary. I figured they were just intentionally misleading people, which is the main function of the press. What they really mean is that, because the Fed buys government, government debt is inflationary, and I have no idea why they didn't spend two seconds more explaining it. I guess they preferred telling a misleading half-truth to the whole truth.

POLICE STATE:

Americans have to keep dying and killing there so the ruling class can control Afghanistan's mineral wealth without having to pay full market price. Interesting that a SEAL team 6 helicopter also crashed during the alleged Osama bin Laden raid. That's quite the coincidence.

"According to a Bureau of Labor Statistics breakdown, there were 139,296,000 people working in July, compared to 139,334,000 the month before, or a drop of 38,000."
But government waves its bureaucrat statistic manipulator wand, and presto, jobs are created. Lies.

TAX AND SPEND:

In America's Looming Debt Crisis three and half years ago I wrote,
"This collapse of the dollar is the start of our economic collapse. The collapse of our credit rating would follow, and Moody's recently warned that our AAA credit rating is in jeopardy because of exploding debt. After that, the government will have no options but to drastically cut services and raise taxes, driving the US into depression."
The second step has begun with S&P downgrading the US government credit rating. to AA+. The size and scope of government - the burden of government - has been the biggest problem in America for decades. People are finally waking up to that fact. The sooner we make the cuts, the sooner we take our medicine, the sooner we can rebound stronger than ever. S&P ratings chief says US politics is too unpredictable. What a joke. US politics is easily predictable. S&P is playing the role government assigned it perfectly, posing as an independent voice in the private sector telling the tea party to shut up and get with the program. The ruling class is angling to blame the tea party for the downgrade.

He later wrote about two additional cancer cures that worked, which the FDA also disallowed. The FDA even admitted that one of these treatments, discovered by Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, was successful with some of the most incurable forms of cancer. I shared this with you in a recent articlethat showed his film, but stories like this are far too common, and you can't help but wonder how many people have died while the FDA denied them cancer treatments that work.
Haley brazenly calls the FDA a rogue, out of control agency that has lied in Congressional testimonies, deliberately falsified data, and destroyed evidence to prohibit cures like Burzynki's from coming to market. The FDA's loyalties are to the drug industry, not to individuals, Haley says."

That's what the two parties, working together, have done to us.
"Could it be that Barack Obama is purposely pressuring the system in a premeditated effort to foster a major crisis?   One that would demand extraordinary measures to control by a President who could then mete out basic sustenance to Americans who would agree to anything to regain some sense of normalcy.  And in the process successfully usher in the "socially just" system Barack Obama has dreamed of all his life."

The purpose of this super-congress is to cut the tea party out of the process because they've been an obstacle to government-uber-alles Republican-Democrat establishment. Makes perfect sense to Nazis. Yeah, I used the word.

Anti-biotic resistance is typical in salmonella outbreaks. Since when? Let me guess: since government seized control of our health care system. Centralization of political power inevitably leads to centralization of economic power. It can't be any other way. In the health care sector, that means concentration of health care power in the hands of a few hospitals and providers. So it's no surprise that a big corporation created by big government has created a superbug that has infiltrated gigantic hospitals. This couldn't happen in a free society. Cargill would never exist. Giant hospitals would never exist. The natural, creative destruction of the marketplace would prevent such disasters.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Sixty nine percent of Americans realize that global warming pseudo-scientists have falsified data to push their political agenda on the American people. What's so sad about this is, if the natural climate cycles of the planet had continued cooling the planet for another ten years, these monsters would have won political favor and killed millions or billions.

WAR ON DRUGS:

What happens in Daytona Beach when government agents get a warrant to search for drugs? Strip search in front of a line-up of cops. I doubt they payed the standard tip. The war on drugs is a license to strip women and drool.

Now we learn that the feds let drug dealers of their choice run cocaine into the US. If you were part of that cartel, you win. If you were part of another, you lose. The feds choose. If they like you, they funnel guns to you. If they don't, they help you kill your competitors.

POLICE STATE:

I wonder how much it cost to capture 72 child pornographers in world-wide crack-down. Apparently child pornography is not a very big problem.

FAA cracks down on news agencies for using drones. Only government agents are allowed to use drones. Manned helicopters, on the other hand, are fine. This is just a matter of making money.

Germany makes Facebook face recognition illegal, but you know darn good and well their Gestapo, just like ours, will continue using it.

FOREIGN POLICY:

The UN security council condemned Syria over human rights. The Syrian government is violent, criminal organization like any other, clearly more violent at the moment than others, and so any sane person would condemn that violence. But this has nothing to do with sanity. This is political. This is greasing the skids to send American troops into Syria. Be very afraid.

POLITICS:

Romney hires Chertoff and Bork. Could he possibly suck any further to the Washington establishment?

Great Ayn Rand quote:
"When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you...you may know that your society is doomed."
We're doomed.

Thomas Sowell joins the chorus expressing the obvious:
"What happened was that the political words had no relationship to the economic reality."
Let me rephrase: politicians all lie.

Ron Paul is taking the Iowa straw poll in Ames seriously. This is important. Paul has been in Congress for 12 terms or so. He was in the 80s, left, then came back. And as much as I appreciate his principle and respect his knowledge - he's been right on everything - he's been bizarrely ineffective. The question Ron Paul needs to answer is can he transcend his knowledge and wisdom and become an effective politician. He's apparently bet his future that he can do that in the Iowa straw poll in Ames. Man, I hope he's right.

ECONOMY:

The Dow is down 265 points on news of the debt deal. The same press that pretended a deal is good for the economy is now pretending that this deal left too much uncertain. Baloney. The Dow is down because it's certain the government is going to steal another $2.4 trillion out of our economy now. Certain theft is worse than the possibility of future theft.

Ten signs the double-dip recession has begun. This isn't really a double-dip. It's a continuous recession that's been papered over to appear like it ended and then entered a double-dip.

TAX AND SPEND:

Criticism of governments bulldozing houses: it's another handout to banks that also increases the tax burden on neighboring properties.

Obama releases details of debt ceiling agreement.

If Obama campaigns on letting the Bush tax cuts expire, he'll get beat even worse.

Stossel lists a series of cuts that would balance the budget.

Look what spending has done to Connecticut.
"Connecticut has zero job growth since 1990 while government spending has increased 250%"
Ouch.

Here are some big lies about the debt ceiling compromise:
1. It cuts $900 million in spending over ten years. Wrong. It doesn't cut a dime. Government spending will increase every year over the next ten years.
2. There are no tax increases in this deal. Wrong. Every dollar government spends must ultimately be paid for with taxes. This agreement is a $2.4 trillion tax increase.
3. Our kids will have to pay off this debt. Wrong. We will have to pay off this debt, and our kids will suffer too. Because the Fed will monetize most of this debt, the value of the dollar will fall, and we'll pay for it with higher prices. When private investors buy government debt, that money can't be invested in the private economy. Because this bill steals $2.4 trillion of wealth - steal, rubber, equipment, computers, fabric, etc. - out of the productive, private sector economy and squanders it in the parasitic political economy, it makes us all poorer.

House roll call vote on the debt ceiling compromise. Mike Turner voted no. The name of the compromise is "To make a technical amendment to the Education Sciences Reform Act of 2002".

FEDERAL RESERVE:

We knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was this bad.
"According to the recent GAO report on its limited audit of the Federal Reserve, the central bank secretly pumped $16 trillion into American and foreign banks during the recent economic crisis."
$16 trillion? That's over $5,000 per person. That's more than US GDP. That's more than four years worth of federal spending. That's money we will pay for through inflation. It's in the pipeline. There's nothing we can do about it.
"The U.S. GDP is $14.8 trillion. The entire U.S. debt spanning over 200 years is $14.5 trillion. The current debt ceiling compromise is over cuts that would be enacted over the next decade to the tune of $900 billion. The budget debate in early 2011 was over $1.5 trillion. But there was no debate over the $16,000,000,000,000 (GAO Report) handed out to failing corporations and banks around the world in just a few short years. How can we afford to have the Fed give away more than our entire national debt in just three years?"
There are no words for how crazy-stupid this is.

Mises's plan for returning to the gold standard.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Another case where climate models of alarmists are significantly different than actual measurements from satellites.

An astrophysicist points out something I've often explained but I've never seen anybody else ever address: when we convert sunlight into energy, it produces heat, which warms the planet. This guy goes on to explain that pretty soon, within a few hundred years, we'll use so much energy that the heat produced will make the planet unlivable. People will adapt by becoming more energy efficient and colonizing space. The leveling off of energy use will likely produce a leveling off of economic activity. All this assumes a closed system (Earth).

POLITICS:

Contrary to their rhetoric, the two parties are basically the same - two factions of the same ruling class crooks - and the worst of the worst rise to the top. I bet John Boehner and Harry Reid are together having group sex with a bunch of hookers, lighting huge joints of the best pot laced with cocaine rolled in Cuban tobacco with hundred dollar bills - all paid for with taxpayer money - and laughing over which party's voters are more stupid.

TAX AND SPEND:

Establishment Republicans agreed to pretty much all the Democrats' demands on the debt ceiling. That talk about taxing private planes was just a distraction. Obama was never serious about that. It was just about giving Republicans cover so they could say they resisted tax increases. What a crock.
"There is also concern that the deal could still fail to be approved by Congress, which is due to vote on the package on Monday night. Some liberals are angry that the plan, which has been hailed as a triumph for the Tea Party movement, relies on spending reductions rather than tax rises to reduce the US budget deficit. The Democratic leader in the House, Nancy Pelosi, has already warned that some Democrats may be unwilling to support the deal."
A victory for the tea party? What a joke. That's just propaganda. Democrats are ecstatic that Republicans gave them this much. Let's hope Congress fails to pass it, but I don't think there's any way that will happen. I love how this article intentionally confuses the US government with the US economy.
"The full details of the plan have not been released. However, a fact sheet released by the White House showed that spending would be capped by $900bn over the next ten years. A bi-partisan committee will then be set up to agree a further $1.5tn of deficit reduction measures, which could include tax rises. If this committee cannot agree a deal, then an "enforcement mechanism" will trigger around $1.3tn of spending reductions beginning in 2013."
So increasing spending by $2.4 trillion is supposed to be a victory for the tea party. That's pure propaganda designed to try and get the people they think of as rubes to support the deal. The bill stealing another $2.4 trillion from Americans passed the House with bipartisan support. While this isn't exactly the way I predicted it ending - I predicted the Republicans would force Obama to raise the debt ceiling unilaterally, which, from a political point of view, they should have - it's obvious that everything we've seen up to this point was a charade. I'm very happy to see Gabrielle Giffords up and active, but I'm even happier she wasn't the deciding vote. Bringing her there to vote on this was an inhumane and exploitive propaganda ploy. Here's the British establishment take...
"Democrat Chris Van Hollen said: "We shouldn't have our troops in Afghanistan asking whether they are going to be paid. It is a scandal.""
The scandal is we have troops dying and killing in Afghanistan to support a gangster. Same in Iraq. And Pakistan. And Somalia. And Yemen. And the Philippines. And South America. And God knows where else.

Five lies about the debt ceiling plan expose Boehner for the tool he is. He's worked against the interest of the American people all along.

Here's another way of looking at the debt ceiling back stab:
"The agreement today between President Obama and the Republicans in Congress to allow an increase in the debt ceiling of $2.4 trillion in return for reductions in Obama’s planned spending by $2.417 trillion over the next decade, and no tax increases, is a victory for Reagan Republicans in the present struggle, but an even more important victory over the long run."
Absolutely. If you wanted to steal $2.4 trillion more from the American people, this is a fantastic deal. It accomplished just that. And since Reagan grew the budget and the debt every year he was in office, it's a plan worthy of him. If, on the other hand, you voted Republican with the delusional idea they actually wanted to cut spending, you're an idiot. I told you before the election that if you voted Republican because you wanted them to cut spending that you were a delusional. And what a surprise, Republicans did exactly what I predicted. They stole more of our money. I'll go further. I"ll predict right now that if you voted Republican in 2010 because you wanted Republicans to cut the budget, despite having them stab you in the back, you'll vote for them again in 2012 believing they'll cut the budget then. And they won't. It's an ever-expanding orgy of theft and violence, and conservatives keep voting for it just like liberals, but all the while hypocritically claiming they want smaller government. Anybody who votes Republican, other than Ron Paul, is a tool just like John Boehner. You might as well be a Democrat.

How hard is it to figure out? Boehner, the geeky glasses Cantor fraud dude and the Ryan budget fraud guy have been stealing our money for nearly two decades. How dumb do you have to be to think that suddenly they're going to stop stealing our money? Did you just fall off a boat? Were you born yesterday? How many times does a guest have to rob you blind before you stop opening the door and inviting him in to steal your silverware? They're crooks. Stop voting for them. Case in point:
"There is, however, zero chance the Republican House would pass a tax hike in an election year. Remember, 234 Republican members of the House of Representatives have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge."
I don't know whether this is guy is stupid or evil, but how funny is it that just after the Republicans betrayed the people who elected them by raising the debt ceiling that he would claim they would never raise taxes? As if they care what we think. On the other hand, who can blame him for saying this. Either he's a mental midget or he's smart enough to know that voters are mental midgets and they vote for the same crooks every two, four or six years. We're the stupidest people in the world, and our children will spit on our graves if we're lucky. If they're smarter than that, they'll dig our bodies up and drag us around the crumbled streets to destroy our skeletons while starving kids, old people and goats try to gnaw on our bones for sustenance.

To their great credit, the people of Iceland refuse to bailout bankers who made bad investments, i.e. all the banksters. Lots of people would say Americans refused to do the same by failing to support TARP, and they would superficially correct. But because Americans re-elected pretty much everybody who voted for TARP, they would in reality be delusional.

HEALTH CARE:

More and more people at the grass roots are figuring out that the government is waging war against healthy food in order to make us sick.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Britons angry over rising energy prices, want to abolish green policies. They should have done that years ago.

Here's a good reminder that the goal of environmentalists is to destroy civilization as we know it. Of course they expect they'll be among the few to live, and they expect modern conveniences. Deadly fools.

POLITICS:

For all the rampant fraud in politics and subsequently government, I still get a good laugh when it's exposed. For example. Newt Gingrich hired a firm to create fake Twitter followers, then tried to use his high number of followers as an excuse to be treated like a serious candidate. You can't make this stuff up.

Ron Paul, for all his intelligence, wisdom, accuracy and principle, still can't get more than ten percent in polls. To some extent this is an indictment of him - he doesn't communicate well enough to make headway into the mainstream - but it's more of an indictment of Republican voters.

MEDIA:

Leftist mouthpiece Reuters says we have Mitch McConnell to blame for this debt ceiling deal. While I hope voters punish him accordingly, I don't buy it. I don't think for a second House Republicans care about Mitch McConnell. Boehner is the number one back-stabber in this deal. This article is almost assuredly an attempt to draw heat off him. The media knows Boehner has to answer to the tea party, so they're providing cover for him.

MISC:

Apparently GPS-accurate technology can be implemented by ground stations at a fraction of the price of the satellite version. I wonder who paid all the extra money for the satellite version.
"GPS satellite is a satellite used by the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS). The first satellite in the system, Navstar 1, was launched February 22, 1978. The GPS satellite constellation is operated by the 50th Space Wing of the United States Air Force."
What a surprise.

I've always had a good laugh at libertarians who make value judgments like Microsoft is evil and Apple is great based on nothing more than they like Apple products better than Microsoft products. Here's a perfect example of why Apple is an evil, government-partnering empire like Microsoft, Intel and all the others.
