Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Boortz claims the reason the mall shooter in Portland killed himself was a customer pulled a concealed weapon on him. I hadn't heard this reported, but this is the kind of thing the media covers up. Here's the story.
"The break in gunfire allowed Meli to pull out his own gun, but he never took his eyes off the shooter.
"As I was going down to pull, I saw someone in the back of the Charlotte move, and I knew if I fired and missed, I could hit them," he said.
Meli took cover inside a nearby store.  He never pulled the trigger.  He stands by that decision.
"I'm not beating myself up cause I didn't shoot him," said Meli.  "I know after he saw me, I think the last shot he fired was the one he used on himself.""
Funny how this never made it into the mainstream media. Sure enough a search of Google News shows no mainstream media coverage of this story.

More info on the benefits of the right to keep and bear arms.
"Lott points out that in 1985, only eight states had right-to-carry laws — laws that allow a person to automatically get a permit, provided he passes a background check and completed a training course. Today there are forty states that have some version of these laws. Lott's examination of the data showed that "from 1977 to 1999, states that adopted right-to-carry laws experienced a 60% drop in the rates at which the attacks occur and a 78% drop in the rates at which people are killed from such attacks."
Moreover, he points out that before 1995, it was possible for teachers to bring guns to campus in many states and that "the rash of student shootings at schools began in October 1997 in Pearl, Mississippi after the ban," (my italics)."
I gun advocates go on the offensive with statistics like these.

Global Warming and Energy

El Nino shows no trend either.

The leak of the latest IPCC report is really bringing criticism on the frauds. They deserve it. Their movement has been collapsing in stages, but that hasn't stopped government from using their lies as an excuse to oppress us.

Power grid vulnerable to space weather. Roosevelt took control of transportation, communications and utilities. Roosevelt wanted socialist utilities. White House describes Roosevelt taking control of utilities. Pretty thorough, socialist history of power utilities before, during and after Roosevelt.

Germany buries power lines. Competitive energy marketplace in Britain. Competitive energy marketplace in the Netherlands.

DP&L blames trees for power outages. Apparently they haven't solved the tree problem in over 100 years.

Undergrounding power lines.

War

Sexual harassment in the military.
"Reported sexual assaults at military academies have jumped by 23 percent according to the military. Additionally, 51 percent of women and 10 percent of men said they were sexually harassed."
I'll never understand who thought it was a good idea to subject women to this.

Foreign Policy

Hillary's stooges blame lack of taxpayer money for the death in Benghazi.
"Note: the blue-ribbon panel that issued the "independent" (read: whitewash) report (blaming no one, of course)  on Benghazi was headed by the dependable apparatchik Thomas Pickering, who served as Deputy Secretary of State under Hillary's husband."
I can smell the stink from Washington here. I just went to the State Department website to find out their budget, and I got this message:
I don't trust them either.

Just as predicted, the wind is knocking out power to people. You might think it was so commonplace that wind knocked out power, the power company would make changes to to keep that from happening, but not when the power company is protected from competition by government. More info.
"“When winds exceed 40 mph we anticipate problems, including tree limbs hitting power lines or uprooted trees falling and taking down lines,” the company said in a release Wednesday."
It's just amazing that we tolerate this.

Global Warming and Energy

IPCC graphs show that IPCC has significantly overestimated warming up to this point in every analysis it has published.

Tax and Spend

Here's a nice statistic for anybody who still believes Republicans support smaller government and fiscal responsibility.
"Under the leadership of House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio), the 112th House of Representatives has thus far approved legislation that has increased the debt of the federal government by $2,176,949,774,695.46—or approximately $18,944 for per American household."
Usually the opposition party resists spending by the party in power, but not Boehner's Republicans. This is a nice reminder how they've been Obama's best enablers.

Will death spiral cities and states like California and Illinois enact exit taxes to stop people from taking their wealth and fleeing high taxes?

Why government spending should not be included in national production statistics.
"Why should government product be excluded? First, the government’s activities may be viewed as giving rise to intermediate, rather than final products, even if the government provides such valuable services as enforcement of private property rights and settlement of disputes. Second, because most government services are not sold in markets, they have no market-determined prices to be used in calculating their total value to those who benefit from them. Third, because many government services arise from political, rather than economic motives and institutions, some of them may have little or no value. Indeed, some commentators—including the present writer—ultimately went so far as to assert that some government services have negative value: given a choice, the people victimized by these “services” would be willing to pay to be rid of them. "
I agree with all these, but the second one is very important. Because government funds itself through theft, we can't measure how much value it provides or how much wealth it destroys.

War

Neo-con think tanks funded by the industrial-military complex to promote wars and to run them.

Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Nice rant about government's role in the Connecticut massacre.
"So another mass-murder conducted by a product of government schools, in a government school, under the government-recommended/mandated care of a government-employed/licensed shrink, on government-approved and government-promoted mind-altering drugs, in a government-mandated weapon-free zone, protected by a government agency the government claims 'serves and protects' (though it is incapable of doing so). Clearly the problem is guns."
Well said.

What a great quote: "Scientists amazed by Canadians' ability to watch movies and play video games without killing each other."

Police State

Female Texas pervert cop caught on tape giving two women body cavity searches, ostensibly for drugs, during a routine traffic stop.
"Female trooper Kellie Helleson is seen in the footage aggressively searching the private parts of Angel Dobbs, 38, and her niece, Ashley Dobbs, 24, in front of passing cars.

The women, who claim the trooper used the same rubber glove for both of them, were initially stopped by Helleson's colleague David Farrell on State Highway 161 near Irving after he saw one of them throw a cigarette butt out the window."
This is what we've done to our country by empowering government to conquer us.

It used to be that gas prices went up during holidays because demand went up because people traveled. This year gas prices are going down around holidays. Right now Dayton has the lowest gas prices of the year. I think the oil companies are doing this. As soon as the New Year comes, they will go up again.

Uh, oh. The wind is going to blow tomorrow, so expect power outages.

Montgomery County stole $1.8 million, plus however much it skimmed off the top, from taxpayers and gave it to ten companies which promised to create 370. It'll never happen. It can't happen. That's only $4865 per job. It'll be lucky to create 37 jobs, 4 is more likely, and it destroyed far more jobs.

Riverside residents start petition to challenge the income tax credit reduction.

Regulation

Governments have banned private ownership of property in space. We need to fix that.

Media

TIME names Obama person of the year.
""For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union, Barack Obama is TIME's 2012 Person of the Year," writes editor Richard Stengel."
A more perfect union? What a crock. TIME works for Obama.

Why the media celebrates mass shootings.
"What's even more horrifying than the massacre itself is the way the mainstream media now glorifies mass shooters, turning them into cult heroes and even ranking their body counts as a sort of achievement score. The Newtown shooting currently holds the "high score" according to the mainstream media, and they have no problem pushing this kind of junk journalism as long as their teleprompter-reading reporters appear to be convincingly saddened for the cameras."
The media loves all disasters, natural and man-made.
"Nowhere is the celebration of school shootings more amplified than in Washington D.C. where the federal government desperately wants to disarm the American people. The higher the body count of children in a given mass shooting, the more "moral authority" D.C. politicians will claim to have in destroying the rights of all Americans by demanding they turn in their guns."
Government profits too.
"But the real benefit to Big Pharma from the school shootings is that such events traumatize other children who can then be "diagnosed" with fictitious psychiatric disorders which are invented solely for the purpose of selling more prescription medications to children who don't need them."
They profit too.
"School shootings, you see, benefit the media, the drug companies and the power base of the federal government. This is precisely why such shootings will be allowed to continue."
The sad truth.

Health Care

Connecticut shooter's mom was going to commit him to a special mental facility. This is more evidence he was heavily medicated by government's medical establishment. Family friend disputes this report. This New York Daily News report contains a petition to ban assault weapons, proving once again that media outlets are anything but apolitical and unbiased.

Foreign Policy

Three State Department officials resign after report on Benghazi. At least somebody took a fall, but these people are probably scapegoats. Clinton and Obama get off scott free. Apparently Clinton faked a concussion to avoid testifying before Congress about Benghazi.

Foreign Policy

I wonder how many tax dollars were squandered on paying this commission to tell us what we already know.
"An independent inquiry into the attack on the United States diplomatic mission in Libya that killed four Americans on Sept. 11 sharply criticized the State Department for a lack of seasoned security personnel and for relying on untested local militias to safeguard the compound, according to a report by the panel made public on Tuesday night. "
I'll bet it cost us millions.

Freedom of Speech

Facebook suspending accounts of people who question the official story about the massacre in Connecticut. Why not? Facebook isn't the government. It's just a government protected monopoly. It can stifle free speech all it wants. This is why government prefers fascism to socialism. Here's some great hypocrisy that proves the mainsteam media is nothing but a propaganda arm of the government.
"“I was informed the reason for this punishment was the result of a meme I had shared,” writes the editor of SecretsOfTheFed.com. “Facebook told me it “…violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”. I was further warned that “If you continue to abuse Facebook’s features, your account could be permanently disabled.”
On Saturday, Connecticut state police warned that people posting “misinformation” on social media websites would be “investigated and prosecuted.”
However, this threat could apply to the vast majority of the mainstream media, who in their haste to get out ahead of the story reported numerous details that soon turned out to be completely incorrect."
A list of falsehoods reported by the media follows, but you bet none of them will be prosecuted. Our government is a farce.

Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Twelve year old girl shoots home intruder. Thank goodness government hadn't disarmed her.

Texas school district, showing a sign of sanity, allows - I hate that word - teachers to carry guns. If you must send your child to a government school, this is the one to send them to.

Microstamping bullets isn't a bad idea which is why it will never become law.
"One way to “get around the Second Amendment,” the announcer intoned (exact phrasing, though you’ll have to take my word for it as I can find no link on the net), is to microstamp bullets so cops can trace them. This lunacy comes from Elliott Spitzer, previously Chief John of New York State, whose priapic pursuits drove him from office but whose buddies in the corporate media identify him only as a “former governor.”
Of course, Spitzer’s idea will never become law. Imagine the CIA’s consternation right now if Newtown’s bullets had been “microstamped.” Or that of the average cop nationwide who can no longer blame the dead bystander on the perp when “microstamping” points to his poor marksmanship instead."
Exactly. The government doesn't want us to know how much crime and death it is ultimately responsible for.

Health Care

The consequences of bureaucratic stranglehold on health care.

Government's Big Pharma establishment is turning the US into a zombie culture.

It's finally come out that the Connecticut shooter was taking psychotropic drugs prescribed by government's medical-pharmaceutical establishment. Besides government disarming the victims, this is another thing the press has been covering up. The common denominators of all these spectacular mass murders start with government disarming the victims, then government's medical-pharmaceutical establishment poisons the shooter with mind control drugs, then the shooter goes and kills the disarmed victims.
"Maybe more importantly, though, Fanapt is one of a many drugs the FDA pumped out with an ability to exact the opposite desired effect on people: that is, you know, inducing rather than inhibiting psychosis and aggressive behavior."
Don't they all do that? Apparently this one more than others.

Long list of mass murderers who were prescribed government drugs and who subsequently killed people who had been disarmed by government.
