Tax and Spend

Another failed war is the US war on poverty which is really just an excuse to loot people. The proof is that after 50 years and $20 trillion spent, more Americans are poor, by the standards of the day, than ever.

The war on poverty keeps poor people poor by taking away opportunity in the market.
"The cheerleaders for this new war argue that the War on Poverty was successful but not successful enough.
However, the successes that most point to were already taking place long before the beginning of the Johnson administration. Infant mortality rates, for example, have been falling since the early 20th century. Even a cursory look at the U.S. poverty rate shows dramatic declines in the years leading up to the late 1960s and a much smaller rate of decline since then.
The real credit for these gains goes to the enormous economic growth of the 20th century, which was driven by the competitive marketplace."
Exactly.

Government's war on poverty is another failure.

Poverty level reaches record under Obama.

Obama picks five "promise zones" where he wants to fight poverty, no doubt with socialist welfare programs. What a goofy name. He's going to get a lot of crap for that. He should follow China's model and create free market zones or what I like to call federally free zones instead.

Obama donor heads investigation into IRS targeting of tea party groups. More legal corruption.
