Government wants to control Apple's ebook pricing for the next ten years to keep the marketplace from functioning effectively.

Obama overrules ban on Apple products that infringed Samsung patents. I guess Apple is allowed to infringe patents. The rest of us are not. This really exposes the destructive nature of patents and has serious trade war implications.

"The rivalry has spilled into the courts, where barrages of competing patent claims have been lobbed in both directions. Last year, Apple won a jury trial and $1 billion in damages against Samsung over iPhone patents.
Samsung said Apple was the one that started the global patent wars between the two companies. It said the iPhone maker had sought to avoid paying for licenses of Samsung's patents."

Notice Obama didn't overrule the case Apple won against Samsung.
