Misc

Microsoft climbs deeper in bed with the government with cloud OS service. Microsoft has become indistinguishable from the government. It's best to avoid it if at all possible.

Here's some complete balderdash about dark matter.
"Because dark matter doesn’t collide in the traditional sense, it has no way to shed its momentum and angular momentum (in the form of emitting photons) the way normal matter does. So instead of forming into a disk like spiral galaxies, or centralized swarms like elliptical galaxies or globular clusters, it has to remain in a large, diffuse, fluffy halo that extends far beyond the reaches of what we normally consider the full extent of a galaxy."
That's ridiculous. They're claiming dark matter is a perpetual motion machine. That's ridiculous on its face, but even if it was true, dark matter woiuldn't clump around galaxies. This a ghost story. How many WIMPS can dance on the head of a pin?
"Whereas a spiral galaxy like our Milky Way may be a few thousand light years thick and maybe 100,000 light years in diameter, the dark matter halo superimposed on our galaxy (and, as far as we can tell, all comparable galaxies) extends for maybe a million light-years in all directions. It’s more massive than the normal matter in our galaxy, but it’s far more spread out, and it also doesn’t clump together into the clumps that are so important to us, like stars, planets, and human beings."
Why doesn't it clump into smaller clumps that galactic halos? This claim is just made up to fit the simulations. The theory is not internally consistent. This is what we get from government funding of science.
