I hear Rush and Foxnews are making a big deal of some study that found a correlation between fish oil supplements and increased risk of prostate cancer, but even this Foxnews article discounts the study.
"Nutritionist Nicole Berberian told Sky News: "The fact is that just from this snapshot ... we can't actually say cause of effect, so there is a long way to go before we can say that the cause of this correlation is the actual intake of oily fish. The study had no controls. It was designed to make fish oil look bad because so many people have discovered the benefits and Big Pharma and the FDA have no control over the supplements. It's no accident this story came out right as Dick Durbin is re-introducing his bill to restrict supplements.
"So as yet, it is not a cause to panic."
But GP Dr Ellie Cannon said caution was needed when looking at the results of this study.
"It's the type of study where we don't actually know how controlled the trial is and what I mean by that is we don't actually know what other conditions or the other environment that the people within the trial are actually in," she told Sky News.
Dr Cannon said she would not dismiss the study, but advised taking the results with a pinch of salt."
I have another name for the single-payer system Obamacare is supposed to usher in after it monstrously fails as designed: monopoly. No thanks.
An array of statistics show that doctors will kill you. It doesn't even mention the most common problem: doctors masking symptoms with drugs instead of treating the real problem which is usually lifestyle.
