Police State

Snowden's revelations prove to this guy we're not as free as we thought. Only you've had your head buried in the sand.

Legal loophole regarding asylum seekers in Hong Kong may delay Snowden from being considered for deportation for years. That analysis assumes governments follow the law. They don't. Whether Hong Kong deports Snowden or not is more a function of whether Hong Kong politicians want to and can resist the pressure that the US will put on them from many directions.

Special Report claims 62 percent of Americans in a new Foxnews poll do not support NSA spying. Funny, yesterday all the news outlets were claiming Americans supported the spying, so they were lying about that too. The NSA director's response is to make the new, grandiose claim that the spying disrupted dozens of terrorist attacks. Naturally he gives no details. This is baloney. I hope he gets fired over making this claim. The NSA should not be run by a military person. It's a civilian agency. The military is taking over our civilian government.

Whitey Bulger claims FBI made up file claiming he worked for them as an informant. There's no way to know who's lying here. Neither side can be trusted, and both sides have an interest in lying.
