Suppose you wanted to use the power of coercion in the health system to enrich yourself. What would your system do? It would increase lifespan and increase chronic illnesses in order to maximize profits. That's exactly what is happening in the US food, medicine, health care system.
Penn and Teller lampoon the seeming contradiction between government subsidies of HFCS and government taxes on HFCS. But it's not a contradiction at all. Government makes money on both policies.
